Speakers

Zeinab Chaudhary

 

Zeinab is a part of Scope’s Board of Trustee and a member of Scope‘s External Audiences Committee.

Zeinab has over 10 years of consulting experience across Private and Financial Sectors. Zeinab has a background in Change Management for large scale Digital Transformations. She is passionate about creating a more balanced society. And works with clients to create positive social and environmental change.

Zeinab was born with a rare brittle bone condition. She wants to challenge the stigma and misconceptions of what it means to be ‘disabled’. She is actively improving representation of senior disabled women in the workforce.

Safaa Charif

 

Safaa Charif is an Assistant Producer and disability content creator. She is a bilateral below-knee amputee who uses her online platforms to showcase a humorous take on life as a disabled Muslim woman.

Her Tiktoks have gone viral, especially when she jokes about being an amputee. In doing this she helps destigmatise disability while drawing attention to the challenges of being disabled. Her videos advocate for equality and promote joy and positivity.

Tobi Green-Adenowo

Tobi Green-Adenowo, known online as ToughCookieTee, is a Muslim disabled woman whose journey and achievements are both inspiring and empowering. Born with a rare form of Brittle Bone Disease, Tobi has not let her experiences define her. Instead, she has continuously broken barriers, becoming a beacon of resilience and positivity.

From a young age, Tobi faced numerous challenges due to her growing up in 18 foster care homes, she channeled these experiences into a powerful drive for advocacy and change. Her passion for equality and accessibility has made her a prominent voice in the disabled community, she changed the National curriculum for GCSE Dance. Tobi's work extends beyond advocacy; she is also a talented entrepreneur, launching her media business called Disabled Power Network that reflects her commitment to inclusivity and diversity.

Tobi's influence is not confined to her immediate community. Through her online presence as ToughCookieTee, she reaches a global audience, sharing her life experiences, insights, and the realities of living as a disabled person. Her social media platforms are not just spaces for sharing; they are communities where empowerment, support, and understanding flourish.

Izémrasen Alahyan

Izémrasen, (25) is a trans, disabled Muslim individual who is an ambulatory wheelchair user and deaf multidisciplinary artist. Additionally, he is an adaptive hybrid athlete, doing both powerlifting and wheelchair basketball.
