About this role

You’ll support the Lived Experience Research Panel team. They interact with the disabled people who have joined the panel (panellists) on a daily basis. You’ll see how various kinds of research and insight are run via the panel.

  • The checking and publication of surveys for panellists to answer.
  • The recruitment of panellists to join discussion groups or do depth interviews.
  • Checking the welfare of the panellists who have been involved in a project.
  • How panellists are rewarded.
  • How panellists are kept engaged with the panel.
  • How panellists join or leave a national research panel.

When and where

We would ideally want you to volunteer for at least 14 hours a week, split across 2 to 3 weekdays. You can volunteer remotely from home or at our offices in Here East in the Olympic Park, E15 2GW. The initial settling in period would be for 6 months.

Who we’re looking for

It’d be helpful if you have:

  • An interest in how research or community panels work.
  • Some Microsoft Office skills, especially with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Confidence to speak to a range of people with different needs.
  • Good attention to detail.

We are a friendly team of 4 to 5, passionate about achieving disability equality.

Our previous 2 volunteers were disabled. We’re delighted 1 moved onto a full-time job in the publishing industry and 1 is currently on secondment at Scope.

Skills and experience you can gain
