British Sign Language interpreters

We have teamed up with Sign Solutions to be able to offer British Sign Language interpreters, through the InterpretersLive service.

Accessing InterpretersLive

You can access the service from your desktop PC or laptop by using the connect to InterpretersLive button below.

Please make sure you allow access to your camera and microphone.

InterpretersLive is available from 8am to midnight, 7 days a week. Our service opening times will vary, see services for details.

The InterpretersLive App

You can access the service on your mobile or tablet using the InterpretersLive App. The app is available from the following app stores.

Getting started with InterpretersLive!

  1. Go to your app store and search 'InterpretersLive'
  2. Download the InterpretersLive App.
  3. Tap the app and fill in your details. This will include your name, email and phone number.
  4. Select account type ‘Corporate’.
  5. Click “Connect now”.

You will join a waiting area, where the next available interpreter will connect with you.

Minimum requirements

You will need to meet the following technical requirements to use the service.

Operating system

You should make sure that your device has the latest version of:

  • iOS
  • MacOS
  • Windows
  • Android
  • Linux

Web browser

You will also need the latest version of one of the following browsers:

  • Chrome
  • Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

Internet connection

You will need an internet speed of 1.5MB. If you are using mobile, you will need a 4G or 5G mobile data plan and compatible phone.

Booking interpreters in advance

If you would like to book a video interpreter in advance or would prefer to use a platform of your choice.

When booking an interpreter, please include the following details.

  • Date
  • Time
  • Duration

Sign Solutions will give you the contact details of the interpreter available at that time. You can use these details to contact them with your meeting information.
