2026 TCS London Marathon WhatsApp group information and consent

Joining criteria

You have a confirmed charity place or own place (ballot, good for age or other) in the 2026 TCS London Marathon with Scope.

Key information

WhatsApp is available to download for free from the Apple App store and Google Play store for Android users. 

Please carefully review the following information and consent. These form the agreement between you and Scope for using this WhatsApp group.

  1. By joining our WhatsApp group, you acknowledge and agree that other group members will be able to see your contact phone number and display name. 
  2. You can leave the group at any time without giving notice or a reason. 
  3. A Scope staff member will monitor the group during working hours. These are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. 
  4. We will make every effort to answer questions and participate in discussions, but please be aware that if the chat moves too quickly we may miss something. If you have a specific question for Scope or see something which concerns you, please contact the team directly by phone or email.
  5. Please note that if you are not able to take part in this event, we will remove you from the group. This does not apply to anyone who has been offered a deferral into the following year.
  6. You agree to adhere to the following rules for using the WhatsApp group:
  • Respect others' privacy and confidentiality. Do not share contact numbers or group discussions with anyone else. 
  • Respect others as individuals. 
  • Respect others' culture, race, and background. 
  • No bullying, harassment, or discrimination. 
  • No use of explicit or sexual language. 
  • Have fun! Share exciting news, training and fundraising progress, support each other. 
  • Zero Tolerance Policy – a Scope staff member will participate in and monitor the group chat to provide help and support as needed. We may ask you to remove a message if it is deemed inappropriate. If you do not follow the group rules, you will be removed from the group.
