You support young disabled people to live the life they choose

Jamie's story

Scope supports disabled young people like Jamie to lead the life they choose. One way we do this is through assistive technology, such as communication aids.
“When I first came to Craig Y Parc School in Cardiff I couldn’t even tell my left and right. Before, I wasn’t very awake or alert. I was a bit dead really.
"The teachers have supported me to use voice-recognition software so that I can record my thoughts. Now I love creative writing!
"I don’t want to live my life with people having to help me in every way. I can do so much now, and feel more confident about living independently in the future.” Jamie, 17.
Your support means we’re able to match assistive technology such as communication devices to the needs of disabled young people so they can live independently.
With your help we can support another young disabled person like to Jamie live the life they choose.
