Motorpoint managers braved the National Three Peaks Challenge to fundraise for disability equality. The group walked over 44 kilometres across Scotland, England and Wales. We're very grateful for every penny raised, and Motorpoint fundraised a whopping £13,722.
The UK's leading independent retailer of nearly new and used cars, Motorpoint, recently partnered with Scope. We're thrilled to have Motorpoint's support in our mission for disability equality. The Three Peaks Challenge was an incredible start to their fundraising activity.
Sammi Skelding, Scope’s Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy at Scope, said:
“A huge thank you to everyone at Motorpoint who took on the Three Peaks Challenge this August. Through their incredible determination, the team raised an outstanding amount of money. It will help fund Scope's vital services and make a real difference to disabled people and their families across the UK.
"We're proud to have Motorpoint alongside us as we work towards an equal future with disabled people. We're looking forward to seeing how Motorpoint continues to champion disability inclusion through our partnership and the impact we can create together.”
The challenge team included 7 General Sales Managers with Operations Director Russell Louth and COO Kal Singh. They climbed more than 3,000 metres over Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.
The team raised £6,861, which Motorpoint matched pound for pound. This brought their fantastic final donation total to nearly £14,000.
Communications and Engagement Partner at Motorpoint, Becky Greensmith, said:
"I’m incredibly proud of this team, and I know I speak on behalf of everyone at Motorpoint when I say what an achievement this has been. They’ve shown remarkable resilience and teamwork throughout the challenge and set a fantastic example for colleagues across the business. We couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve achieved.”
