The future of our regulated and day services

As of 1 May 2018, Scope’s regulated and day services are now being run by Ambito Care and Education, part of the Salutem Group.

Scope’s new strategy

The decision to transfer our regulated and day services to another provider was part of our new five-year strategy, Everyday Equality, which we launched in April 2017. It sets out a clear plan of how we will achieve our vision of changing society so that disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else.

However, in order to do this, we need to be clear and focussed as an organisation which means we could not continue to do everything we were doing.

A new provider for our regulated and day services

In December, we announced that the Salutem Group, a specialist care and support provider, would be the new provider for our regulated and day services as they had met our criteria to ensure continuity of care and support for anyone accessing these services.

Led by an experienced team of directors, Salutem are already running 75 services for disabled people across England, and we believe that our services fit in very well with their philosophy and current portfolio of services.

All Scope services continue to remain under one umbrella as part of a newly set up division called Ambito Care and Education. Existing staff and management teams have also transferred to Ambito and will ensure that customers and students continue to receive high-quality care, support and education.
