Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is essential.
  • A recognised qualification in automotive engineering or mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
  • A valid driving licence is required; additional qualifications such as an HGV licence would be advantageous.

Requirements

  • Have a learning disability or be an autistic person
  • Comfortable speaking in front of people and listening to them
  • Willing to learn how to deliver the training
  • Organised and able to manage your time
  • Able to use computers and travel to different places within your region

Helpful Skills (not required):

  • Experience sharing ideas in front of others
  • Confidence using online tools like Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to handle some pressure
  • Experience working respectfully and politely with others
  • Previous experience in training, health or social care, or working in a team
